A Little Bit of History

Britannia Beach lies within the territory of the Squamish Nation, a culture that for thousands of years lived and operated on this land. Britannia operated primarily as a mine from 1904-1974, and was at one time the largest copper mine in the British Empire. Today, it’s a tight-knit community of residential neighbourhoods amongst BC’s most beautiful natural landscapes. The area is being developed and the first new properties available for purchase are the townhomes we tour in our video, so be sure to give it a watch.
